We help everyday people with extraordinary cooking skills, especially from underrepresented backgrounds, to turn their passion into income. With access to a professional kitchen, hands-on support, and our mobile app, they cook authentic meals for families, offices, and events.

Meet the Founder

In 2017, Fatoumata was a Master’s student in London, working retail and cleaning jobs. One evening, while cooking, she realised, “I wish this was my job.” Cooking fulfilled her unlike anything else. The idea stayed, even as she entered corporate life.

In 2023, after losing her job, the vision returned, louder than ever. She listened, cooked, delivered, and launched Gamaal from her Camden kitchen. Today, Gamaal is more than an app, it’s a home for local cooks to earn, grow, and share culture through food. A space where foodies reconnect with the joy of real, authentic meals.

From the lush tea gardens of Sylhet to her London kitchen, Khaleda brings the soul of Bangladeshi village life to every dish. She was taught by her late mother,  a cherished community cook. Khaleda cooks with memory, meaning, and heart. Her Dalibora evokes monsoon comfort, while her star dish blends tradition and pride.

Through Gamaal, she serves more than food, she shares stories, warmth, and home through authentic meals.

Rooted in rich Bengali traditions, Sadhiya creates comforting, flavourful dishes full of care and culture. Her slow-cooked lamb curry is a signature favourite, tender, fragrant, and made with deep attention to every detail.

Her food brings people together. Each plate is cooked with pride and love, blending tradition with her own special touch.

Specialising in traditional Bengali cuisine, Sadhiya’s slow-cooked lamb curry is a family recipe that stops neighbours in their tracks with its aroma.
